Letter to the Editor by Laisee Holden, fellow parent and volunteer

As a parent of three young children entering the Cape Elizabeth schools, I wholeheartedly support Elizabeth Goodspeed for School Board.

My children have been classmates with Elizabeth’s since preschool. Having known her through that lens, I can say that if there is a job to be done, Elizabeth is the person who shows up to do it. Whether she’s a classroom coordinator, chaperoning a field trip, or searching the cafeteria floor for a lost tooth (yes, she is even a lunch volunteer!), Elizabeth is there.

What strikes me most about Elizabeth is how she genuinely listens, considers all sides, and does her research before forming an opinion. This gives her such a grounded, thoughtful and informed perspective. 

Elizabeth will bring her professional experience in education, knowledge of the community, and thoughtful approach to the School Board. A vote for Elizabeth is a vote for a person who will work to keep Cape schools the special community asset they are for years to come.
